Session: Saira Khan

So most of you who follow me on twitter know that I got to do a shoot with the beautiful and talented Saira Khan of Khan Art, on Friday. Saira is my age and also starting out on this great adventure we call “photography,” so we had a little dinner and discussion after the shoot and I had a splendid time talking shop, and life, and eating yummy chinese at Fantastic China. One of the things I admire most about her is that she really has a passion for capturing people and moments. For me it has always been easier to create moments, so I really respect those with a journalistic eye. The dedication Saira puts into her craft is astounding and it shows in both her work and her person. Anyway, here are a few of my favorites from our little portrait adventure in the Arkansas summer heat!

Hope you like them as much as I do!

  1. This is utterly kind of you. It’s one thing to hire you to do me a service, and in return you do me a service! I made one of the best connections I’ve made with another photographer, and I cannot wait to see what is in store for you. From our session I was most inspired by your attitude. Thank you for everything.
